Diablo 3 Delayed… Again.

10 Feb

That’s right people, it has been delayed again. As if that was going to surprise you. For those of you following this game, it was announced around 5 years ago. The news got out that Blizzard was shooting for a 2011 release, but with recent developments, they projected that it would be first quarter 2012 until a release was possible. We also had a nice Best Buy incident that told of a February launch, but this was quickly shot down by Blizzard.

D3, the toughest wait since watching "the NeverEnding Story"

That changed yesterday when Blizzard announced that they were delaying Diablo 3 for a summer time frame for the launch. Blizzard also said that they were implementing a lot of changes. As to what they were changing is unknown, but I would imagine it is something, you know… Important.

On another note, Blizzard also says they only expect to release one other title this year. They are working on several titles such as Starcraft 2: Heart of The Swarm and WoW: Mists of Pandaria, as well as the mysterious title known only as “Titan”. It’s anyone’s guess as to which title will launch first, but my money’s on the Starcraft expansion.

For more information on Diablo 3, check out the game at Gamespot or Blizzard. If you’re a fan of MMO’s, we here at NAPS recommend giving this title a good look over. Hopefully, we’ll get to play this long overdue game sometime in the near future.

When shit gets delayed for too long, the public starts to hype it up, and say “Fuck, I HAVE TO BUY THIS GAME, IT’S GONNA BE SO DAMN GOOD!” and then it turns out to just be all right. Which doesn’t really effect the game itself, but kind of sets this mood of mediocrity for the entire gaming community, and makes it look bad. I see that happening with Diablo 3. Sadly.

Maybe they should stop hyping these games 5 or 10 years in advance, and just fucking wait until they’re done with it. Then people would be happy with your product.
